A feature film About Paddy is now in the pipeline and its to be entitled "THE ROUGH DIAMOND" the name which was given to Paddy by his boxing promoter and manager "Tommy Heard". The best script as yet for the movie has been compiled by is son Tyrone Monaghan.

The latest news is that the cast for the movie will be announced in February 2010, if you really want to keep up to date with the latest event as they happen then join these groups on Facebook, THE ROUGH DIAMOND.

There are lots of stars appearing in "THE ROUGH DIAMOND", but they would like to cast a relatively unknown as the part of PADDY MONAGHAN. Obviously an actor who can fight and looks like Paddy.
Tyrone Monaghan will give the person proper fight training weeks before we shoot.
